APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

​To apply for a local Mississippi Plus America title; applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants for Miss, Ms. and Mrs. categories must be at least 18 years old by Oct 1

    • Teens must be at least 13 and no older than 18 by April 1st

  • Must have been born a woman

  • Must wear a size 14W or greater (Teens size 12 or greater)

  • Must live in, own property, born, previously lived, or have some affiliation with the State of Mississippi

  • Must be a legal US Citizen

  • Must have application submitted online.

Once the application is accepted, Local titleholders of Mississippi Plus America must meet the following requirements to compete on pageant night:

  • Once accepted, Applicant must submit Registration Fee. 

    • Apply early to avoid additional fees. See registration fee schedule below:

      • $350 Early Registration (before Oct 1)

      • $400 Regular Registration (after Oct 1 - Nov 1)

      • $450 Late Registration (after Nov 1)

    • The registration fee covers the cost of your sash, print materials Mississippi Plus America official shirt and personal webpage. Can be split into two payments: 

      •  $200 entry payment must be made upon official acceptance into MSPA.

      • Balance due by December 1st. No exceptions!

  • Complete and document at least 1 public/community service appearance each month (virtual or in person November 1st - March 1st).

  • Support the MSPA fundraising goal ($1K Fundraising): ​

    • Fundraising ensures we have enough funding for community service projects, social events, scholarships, cash prizes, and a successful pageant.

    • Your sponsorships, ads, pageant ticket sales and online voting also counts towards this amount that you raise.

    • Your fundraising determines how much is earned in your prize money should you win or become a runner-up.

  • Attend pageant events &  training sessions as outlined in the Delegate Handbook (*This manual is provided to delegates only).​

  • Maintain conduct and decorum to not violate Mississippi Plus America Conduct guidelines.

  • On-Stage Question (50% of final score)

  • Elegant Pant Wear (25% of prelim/final score)

  • Evening Gown (25% of prelim/final score)

  • People's Choice (online voting)

  • Fashion Model Runway

Title WINNER PRIZES

The highest-scoring winners of the Mississippi Plus America pageant for each division (Teen, Miss, Ms. and Mrs.) will receive:

  • Official Mississippi Plus America crown, sash and bouquet

  • Paid Entry Fee & Advancement to the National Miss Plus America Competition in Houston, Texas in July 2023. This is a week long, fun & memorable experience with approximately 40+ queens from across America. You get to represent our great state on the National Stage! 

  • *PLUS Cash & Prizes! *Exact amount may vary depending on contestant's acquired sponsorships & expenses. A percentage of prize earnings that exceed the National Entry Fee will be awarded as cash prize.
