WHY I CHOSE MY PLATFORM

I chose the platform of Support for Single Moms because it tugs at my heart. I, myself, am a single mom and I know what it takes to hold it together. I know the highs and the lows and I can relate. Every time I have tried to move away from it, I get pulled back to it. Single moms often get told that their home is "broken." I strongly believe in the statement that single parent homes are not broken, the structure just looks different. We have to remember that God knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb so He is with us, single moms, every step of the way because He knew we would need it. It is not a mistake, it is just part of your story, part of your journey to build you up and not tear you down. I was blessed with an awesome support system but not all women have the same so my desire is to be that support system for them. I want to be able to help them mentally, emotionally, spiritually, financially and with any resources that may make life easier for them.
