About Me
My name is Halle Mims. I am a resident of Aberdeen, MS. My current occupation is a 5th/6th Grade Music Teacher, as well as one of two Assistant Band Directors for the Aberdeen High School All Superior Marching Bulldog Band! I have been an educator for 6 years. I am also a 2013 graduate of Itawamba Community College with an AA degree in Music, and a 2017 graduate of Mississippi State University with a BA degree in Music. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Music Education from Mississippi State University.
On the side, I am a keyboard musician for Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Danny Gladney of Aberdeen, MS, as well as a Background Vocalist (BGV) for Christopher Hosea and New Life Chorale (Columbus, MS), Nate Bean and 4Given (Nashville, TN), and Sir’Jerry Saddler and Sounds of Pentecost (Greensboro, NC). I also serve as an independent makeup artist with my own artistry line (Halle Camille Makeup Artistry)!

About my Platform
The service platform that I chose was the American Music Therapy Association. This is a program that brings awareness to the benefits of Music Therapy and how it can help others with full access to their services. Music is a true passion of mine because I am heavily involved in the music world, and I work with multiple music and band students to enhance their musical abilities.
