About Me
I am Nicole Renae’ Williams, the 31 y/o daughter of Ronnie Williams Sr. and Linda Williams. I was born in the Historical Natchez, Ms. I attended the phenomenal Alcorn State University, where I majored in Psychology with a concentration in Health Science. During my tenure at Alcorn, I was a participant in Alcorn’s plus size pageant in which I was crowned Ms. Plus-size. I continued to further my education later by obtaining my master’s in theology and religious studies from Hope Bible Institute. I am currently seeking my Doctorate’s in Christian Counseling. I am an employee at the Family Connections Counseling Center, an agency that provides outpatient mental health services to multiple communities in the Southwestern region of Mississippi. As an employee for over 7 years, I was able to better understand mental health and advocate within the community by educating others on the importance of mental health.
When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, indulging in my creative flow by completing DIY projects, cooking, and operating my business “Unveiling Love LLC. I provide services such as but not limited to makeup, hair, skincare, and self-care to those who struggle with self-love. I also have a passion for singing. I have been singing since the age of 4, and an active member of the Family Connection Mass Choir. I have been singing with this phenomenal choir since I was 5 years old. I am also a member of The Mississippi Mass Choir. I serve in the soprano section, the outreach ministries, and the social media team in both choirs. My love for people is as broad as the sea. It brings great honor to engage with different communities whether it’s volunteering at the food pantry, assisting the elderly, or cleaning up the streets. Dwelling amongst the people in my community has provided me with experience, knowledge, and the ability to strive hard daily to spread “Mental Health Awareness”.
About my Platform
Mental health is a vital aspect of our overall well-being, yet it is often overlooked or stigmatized. Mental Health is so broad and the most important aspects other than diagnosis are so profound. Mental health serves as a reminder of the importance of taking care of our minds, managing our emotions, and treating ourselves with kindness. Mental health includes emotional, psychological, and social well-being, and it affects how you think, feel, and behave. It can lead to increased self-esteem and self-confidence, better stress management, and improved physical health. So, I will be utilizing my platform to not just educate others of the other avenues of it, but to encourage others to seek help when needed and develop healthy . I challenge you to go with me on my journey and support me on the way!
