ABOUT ME

It is always difficult for me to answer questions about myself. I quickly want to give credit to those in my life who contributed to me becoming who I am.
As a mother of three amazing children I have learned the true meaning of altruism. To sacrifice self for others is the root of being a mother. Learning to forsake myself taught me to be a better mother and a better person.
Learning that my two younger children were diagnosed with behavioral disorders motivated me to pursue my degree in Psychology.
After completing that coursework as a single mother of three very active children, my degree is one of my greatest accomplishments.
With a mother, who is a life long educator-retired and a father who was dedicated to his craft of automotive excellence... hard work, determination and dedication has never been a stranger.
After graduating from my mother’s alma mater, it is exciting to see both my eldest daughter and middle son follow in our footsteps by attending Alcorn State University! I am also extremely proud of my youngest son who is attending Southern University as a member of the world famed Human Jukebox!

I am a lover of love and life. My passion for people and especially children is evident in my career choice in Mental Health.

My heart for ministry keeps me busy in speaking, praise dance and as a praise dance leader. I am also a member of the Gospel Believers of Natchez,Ms.

I welcome every opportunity to learn something new and share what I have learned in life with others.

I will end with one of my favorite quotes attributed to former President Theodore Roosevelt, “ No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.”

So if I have nothing but my heart to give. It is of my heart that I am willing to share!

Thank you for your time. I truly appreciate you allowing me to share so much of who I am with you!

Hope to see you all soon & thank you for you support!

About My
Platform

The Aftermath is a program very near and dear to my heart. It is a collaborative and comprehensive approach to therapy and servicing children with behavioral diagnosis.
I am blessed to have the opportunity to collaborate The Aftermath’s unique approach to developing relationships that reach far deeper than simply academics and tutoring. Partnered with Bruce Professional Counseling Services, I have been afforded the opportunity to implement Mississippi Department of Mental Health approved curriculum to support socio-emotive learning.
My love for children with behavioral diagnosis is personal. I saw first hand the lack of support for parents in need of a clear understanding of what they were trying so desperately to navigate through with their children.

The Aftermath After-school independently tackles the academic area need with an understanding of how difficult situations can affect comprehension. Making learning fun and exciting is one of our many goals.

Our motto at The Aftermath is, “It’s more to learning than just school!”

It is our overarching desire at The Aftermath to provide each and every one of our children and families with a unique, supported and effective, successful therapeutic and learning experience.
